Hey, feminists. Here’s a strong, independent Nun. Checkmate!
Heard of any famous nuns, besides the obvious ones doing the regular work you might expect a nun to do?
Maybe that ‘Flying Nun’ from the 60’s TV show?
No really, that was apparently ‘a thing’.
How about the Singing Nun from the ’60s?
(There was a strange fascination with nuns back then, wasn’t there?) Anyway, neither of them have anything on THIS real-world nun:
The storm came, the storm left, and there was work to do.
Did she wait around for a hero to come rescue her?
No. She went ‘out into all the world’ and found herself a place where she could help.
She even brought the tools she needed with her.

The caption that went with the video:
One of our off duty officers was happy to find Sister Margaret Ann of Archbishop Coleman F. Carroll High School pitching in by cutting trees to clear the neighborhood roadways. As we recover from #HurricaneIrma, these acts of kindness remind us all that we are #OneCommunity in #MiamiDadeCounty! 🙏 Thank you Sister and all of our neighbors that are working together to get through this! #MiamiDadeStrong
Not like any of this should really surprise us, either.
Christians of every stripe have stepped up. Why not the nuns, too?
Christians have been better than FEMA at getting organized, and helping the storm victims.
(Gee, maybe that was the whole point of them being tax-exempt in the first place!)
She’s dropping those branches like a bad habit.
Oh, come on… you didn’t REALLY think we could get through story like this one without SOME kind of a joke like that, did you?
ClashDaily.com’s, Editor-In-Chief, Doug Giles how-to book:
In ‘Raising Righteous and Rowdy Girls’, Doug Giles reinforces the notion that little women don’t need to be pampered by their fathers to turn out right. And having met his beautiful daughters, I know his philosophy works. As a strong-willed woman who thinks her daddy is the greatest guy in the world, I can tell you this is a must-read for every man who hopes to earn the same title. —-S.E.
