If a man is known by the company he keeps, then this news will be a problem for Colin.
Those of you who support charities, what sort of cause is worth you opening your checkbook?
Many will support churches or other religious causes. Maybe you support a youth-at-risk group, or a pro-adoption group, or some charity that will help relieve the burden of those who suffer poverty.
Some like conservation groups, or causes relating to animals. Others support scientific or medical research and treatment. Children’s hospitals, for instance. There are wounded veterans groups and groups that help fund the education of children of first responders killed in the line of duty.
After the hurricanes, rebuilding efforts are a priority for a whole RANGE of groups.
There are SO many worthwhile causes out there that a person might support, it would be hard to name all the CATEGORIES, let alone the groups.
So, what cause did Colin Kaepernick support? Well, we’ve seen the take-a-knee protests that might be a hint that his priorities might be a little different from our readers.
(And we’ve told all the athlete/activists EXACTLY what we thought of them, too!)
Kaepernick found a group compatible with his sense of ‘justice’.
Remember when Trump called out Cuba for harboring American fugitives from justice?
As a crowd of Cuban-Americans in Miami roared its approval, Mr. Trump called on Cuban President Raul Castro to “return the fugitives from American justice, including the return of the cop-killer Joanne Chesimard.”
Chesimard, a former Black Panther, fled to Cuba in 1984 after escaping from prison in New Jersey, where she had been serving a life sentence for the murder of state Trooper Werner Foerster. —Washington Times
You may know Joanne Chesimard by ANOTHER name… Assata Shakur.
(Yes, if you’re wondering, there IS a connection to Tupac. She was his ‘godmother’.)
Joanne/Assata was serving time for the MURDER of a police officer and escaped prison. With some help from the Black Panthers, she fled to Cuba.
And now, the cop-killer has cheerleaders.
As part of Colin Kaepernick’s commitment to ‘social justice’, given $25K to a foundation named after the cop killer.
Gee, can anyone figure out why people were burning his jerseys?
Assata’s Daughters was founded in 2015 to ‘develop and train young people, ages 4-19, in the Black queer feminist tradition and in the spirit of Assata,’ according to the group’s website.
‘We prioritize this work to help the current momentum of the Black Lives Matter movement to carry on into the future,’ the statement continues.
He’s also giving cash for volunteers to follow cops around with cameras.
If Blacks Lives Mattering is his priority, some of us are still wondering how this will help stem the violence in say Baltimore, St. Louis or South Side Chicago.
In Chicago, people are LITERALLY ‘getting away with murder’. Not because cops are killing kids in the streets. But because Cops can’t keep up with the caseload of thousands of murders a year.
Maybe he could take a chunk of his Million Dollars and divert it to something that will HELP preserve vulnerable inner city lives.
Nah, he’d rather rage at the police, using claims that were even debunked under Obama’s administration.
Maybe he should buy a few boxes of this book and pass them out to the kids before the get sucked into the ‘thug’ life. It can help them figure out what it really means to be a man before they buy the lies career criminals are selling.
Heck, it wouldn’t hurt if Colin kept a copy for himself. It might help straighten out his priorities.
