You need to hear the family’s reason for the lawsuit. Whoa, Nelly!
The Pollock family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Broward Sherrif’s Deputy Scot Peterson. Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Senior, Meadow Pollack, 18, was one of the students killed on February 14.
Her devastated family is suing the School Resource Officer for not engaging the shooter to limit the death toll on that fateful day.
Meadow’s father, Andrew Pollock made it absolutely clear why the lawsuit is being filed.
I filed a wrongful death suit against Deputy Peterson today. I want to expose that coward so bad. Where ever he goes I want people to recognize him and say that's one of the cowards of Broward. The SRO that let those children and teachers die on the 3rd floor!

This suit has nothing to do with money. I want to be sure anywhere he goes in this country he will be recognized as the coward that could have gone in and saved the students and teachers on the third floor.

Peterson has been criticized for staying outside of the school for the duration of the shooting.
Even Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel said that Deputy Peterson should have gone into the school and taken down the shooter.
Meadow’s brother, Hunter, also tweeted out that Peterson acted like a coward by refusing to engage the shooter.
My family wants the world to know this is the guy that hid behind a concrete wall while kids and teachers were killed. He's a WEASAL COWARD, and no matter where he goes should be recognized as a failure. He failed to act, and than lied about it after. We will not forget! #FIXIT pic.twitter.com/4ybZ4lEDGa

What makes America so different from other nations? Other nations are built around regimes or systems. But America was built from on ideas. From a blank slate.
Built on ideas that are DANGEROUS to tyrants.
That we have God-Given Rights, like Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Dangerous ideas. Like this one: the people, when threatened, have a God-Given right to stand up in defiance of any government that dares threaten any of those rights.
There’s a men’s version…
And a women’s version, too…
Because in America, the bros AND the ladies BOTH have a rich history of badass rowdiness.
