Dear MSNBC: Joy Reid’s Tweets Used Transphobic Slurs, Sexual Attacks On Women – Here’s Proof

The weird story surrounding Joy Reid continues to unfold…

Leftwing commentator, Joy Reid claimed that old, homophobic comments on her defunct blog weren’t actually written by her. She claims the site was hacked.

Reid had run a blog called the Reid Report before she became a host on MSNBC. A Twitter user with about 1,000 followers with the username @Jamie_Maz brought attention to the homophobic blog posts that were published in the mid- to late-2000s.

She had apologized for the homophobic blog posts from The Reid Report in December when @Jamie_Maz had revealed them but has now said they were ‘fabricated’.

Mediaite picked up the story and the controversy grew legs.

Reid claims that the newly revealed posts weren’t written by her.

She gave a statement to Mediaite saying that the posts were ‘fabricated’:

“In December I learned that an unknown, external party accessed and manipulated material from my now-defunct blog, The Reid Report, to include offensive and hateful references that are fabricated and run counter to my personal beliefs and ideology.

I began working with a cyber-security expert who first identified the unauthorized activity, and we notified federal law enforcement officials of the breach. The manipulated material seems to be part of an effort to taint my character with false information by distorting a blog that ended a decade ago.

Now that the site has been compromised I can state unequivocally that it does not represent the original entries. I hope that whoever corrupted the site recognizes the pain they have caused, not just to me, but to my family and communities that I care deeply about: LGBTQ, immigrants, people of color and other marginalized groups.”

The FBI has opened up an investigation into the hacking of her blog.

In a statement provided to media outlets, attorney John H. Reichman said the FBI was looking into “potential criminal activities surrounding several online accounts, including personal email and blog accounts, belonging to Joy-Ann Reid.”

Reichman continued: “Our own investigation and monitoring of the situation will continue to parallel, and we are cooperating with law enforcement as their investigation proceeds.”

It is here that we should note that back in the mid-2000s, public opinion was very different on LGBTQ+ issues than they are now.

In 2008, Barack Obama opposed gay marriage.

In the same election that brought us President Barry’s first term in office, California passed Proposition 8 banning same-sex marriage.

My, my, my.

So much has been ‘fundamentally transformed’ in just 10 years.

But Joy Reid has been all out, a full-on LGBTQ+ activist from the get-go, right?

She didn’t ‘evolve’ on the issue as many of her left-wing colleagues did.

She’s the Progressive with the capital ‘P’.

That’s why she’s got a show on MSNBC.

But there’s something a wee bit weird about Reid’s claims.

A website called the Wayback Machine which archives blog posts and has been doing so since 2006. The Wayback Machine administrators were contacted by Reid’s lawyers and they found no evidence of tampering.

The posts had been dug up on the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine, which maintains copies of many pages on the web. When Reid said she’d been hacked, many jumped to the conclusion that it was the Wayback Machine that had been hacked. On its blog, the Internet Archive said that Reid’s lawyers had contacted them about a possible hack, but that they had no indication that one had occurred.

“This past December, Reid’s lawyers contacted us, asking to have archives of the blog ( taken down, stating that ‘fraudulent’ posts were ‘inserted into legitimate content’ in our archives of the blog,” they wrote. “Her attorneys stated that they didn’t know if the alleged insertion happened on the original site or with our archives (the point at which the manipulation is to have occurred, according to Reid, is still unclear to us).”

On review, the Internet Archive “found nothing to indicate tampering or hacking of the Wayback Machine versions.”

It would seem that, as the above referenced Atlantic article is titled, The Evidence Is Not With Joy Reid.

But wait!

There’s more!

It seems that Joy Reid was making similar comments on Twitter back in 2010/11.

The first was targeting Rush Limbaugh as fat and suggesting that he was gay:

Then she used the word ‘shim’ which, according to GLAAD is a derogatory term that is used to ‘dehumanize transgender people and should not be used in mainstream media’.

She used another derogatory term for transgender individuals when referencing Barack Obama’s ‘Tranny Nanny’.

Then she called Ann Coulter a ‘drag queen’, which is apparently so offensive that they aren’t even allowed at a Pride event in Glasgow.

And she used a sexual term in reference to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’s wife.

So, Joy…

Was your Twitter account hacked just like your blog was?

We’ve all wondered for a long time, but it looks like medical science has finally determined the problem.

It’s spreading like a plague. For some reason, Liberals are losing their ever-loving minds.

Trump Derangement — and Romney Derangement before that — and Bush Derangement before that are only the tip of the iceberg.

What is driving them so berzerk?

Looks like we’ve found an answer:

A liberal walks into the hospital and asks for an X-ray of its skull. Doctors confirmed what we already feared. Here’s the sad diagnosis…

That’s the ladies’ version. You can get it here.

Don’t worry. There’s one for the guys, too.

You can get the guy’s version here.

And the best part? This shirt is made in the USA, printed in the USA, on an American-Made t-shirt press!
