Dear CNN: Have You Seen Schindler’s List? – It’s A Movie Where Only The Gov’t Had Guns

One Congressman is facing criticism for stating the obvious. Who knew it was so easy to trigger leftists?

Well, to be fair, probably every conservative out there knew that it was pretty easy to get the leftists all riled up.

Just look at how the left is using traumatized kids right after there was a mass shooting at their school:

Rep. Don Young (R-AK) was targeted by his potential Democratic opponent at a town hall meeting. Using the ginned-up outrage in the wake of the Parkland shooting, Dimitri Shein, asks Rep. Young about a lockdown that occurred at a public school in Anchorage and what the municipalities and the federal government will do to stop the ‘massacre of students’ in the schools.

[It should be noted that this video was published to YouTube on Dimitri Shein’s account and has an ad at the end for his Congressional bid.]

Rep. Don Young then mentions video games, family structure, and mental health issues. He also suggests arming teachers. All reasonable points of discussion.

The Congressman then discusses the slippery slope of the banning of firearms and then mentions that Jews could not own firearms in Nazi Germany. He suggests that many lives would have been saved if Geman Jewish citizens would have been permitted to own guns.

Think about it:  6 million people could have said, ‘No, I will not get into that boxcar’.

Young is absolutely right.

In 1933, the ultimate extremist group, led by Adolf Hitler, seized power and used the records to identify, disarm, and attack political opponents and Jews. Constitutional rights were suspended, and mass searches for and seizures of guns and dissident publications ensued. Police revoked gun licenses of Social Democrats and others who were not “politically reliable.”

During the five years of repression that followed, society was “cleansed” by the National Socialist regime. Undesirables were placed in camps where labor made them “free,” and normal rights of citizenship were taken from Jews. The Gestapo banned independent gun clubs and arrested their leaders. Gestapo counsel Werner Best issued a directive to the police forbidding issuance of firearm permits to Jews.

In 1938, Hitler signed a new Gun Control Act. Now that many “enemies of the state” had been removed from society, some restrictions could be slightly liberalized, especially for Nazi Party members. But Jews were prohibited from working in the firearms industry, and .22 caliber hollow-point ammunition was banned.

Here is an excerpt from the 1938 law:

§ 1

Jews (§ 5 of the First Regulations of the German Citizenship Law of 14 November 1935, Reichsgesetzblatt 1, p. 1332) are prohibited from acquiring. Possessing, and carrying firearms and ammunition, as well as truncheons or stabbing weapons. Those now possessing weapons and ammunition are at once to turn them over to the local police authority.

§ 2

Firearms and ammunition found in a Jew’s possession will be forfeited to the government without compensation.

§ 3

The Minister of the Interior may make exceptions to the Prohibition in § 1 for Jews who are foreign nationals. He can entrust other authorities with this power.

§ 4

Whoever willfully or negligently violates the provisions of § 1 will be punished with imprisonment and a fine. In especially severe cases of deliberate violations, the punishment is imprisonment in a penitentiary for up to five years.

Did this guy not watch Schindler’s List?

Rep. Don Young has a point, which was perhaps made in a rather confrontational way.

Look at how the Media (D) is spinning it:

Young made the comment during a speech to the Alaska Municipal League.

He is a National Rifle Association Board Member and has said he thinks arming teachers could prevent school shootings in the future.  He has been a representative in Alaska since 1973.

The argument that gun control allowed the rise of Hitler and the tragedy of the Holocaust has circulated among gun-rights advocates for several years.

And then they dismiss the claim. They mention that the idea that Nazis used gun control was first mentioned by Ben Carson in 2015 and then pushed by ‘conspiracy theorists’.

The line has also been pushed by conspiracy theorist Alex Jones on his website InfoWars and by the NRA.

The argument has also been continually knocked down by gun control advocates who point out that personal firearms couldn’t have taken on the Nazis.

Ummm… how could they not have? The Jews were already shoved into ghettos, so they had the strength in numbers.

The nonsense continues:

A law in 1938 did prohibit  Jews from owning weapons – but there was some armed Jewish resistance during the war.

The Anti-Defamation league, in particular, has said it is ridiculous to suggest that if Jewish people had guns they could have stopped the Third Reich, which took over several countries with whole armies during the Second World War.

‘It’s mind-bending to suggest that personal firearms in the hands of the small number of Germany’s Jews could have stopped the totalitarian onslaught of Nazi Germany when the armies of Poland, France, Belgium and numerous other countries were overwhelmed by the Third Reich,’ Anti-Defamation League director Jonathan Goldenblatt wrote in a Huffington Post op-ed.

Look at that source! The Anti-Defamation League via the Huffington Post.

Not that we really expected an honest treatment of history from Huffpo, but that one was a logical error that could be caught by an intelligent twelve-year-old kid.

Q. How did Germany run over Poland, France, and Belgium?

A. Blitzkrieg. Rommel’s Panzer division did a lightning-attack through their regular forces, disrupted their defenses, and attacked the now weak, undefended country.

Who rounded up the Jews? It sure wasn’t Rommel and his Panzer divisions. Nor was it Germany’s regular army. It was the functional equivalent of a police force making ‘undesirables’ comply with ‘the law’.

Germany, not long before, had stood as the pinnacle of European culture and higher learning. And only a few generations later, after a lost war and a financial crisis, descended into tyranny.

And when tyranny did come, the citizens were not ready for it.

Maybe the crowd that keeps claiming anyone remotely to the Right of Vladimir Lenin is ‘literally Hitler’ should stop trying to take our guns away.

Unless these gun-grabbers are actually channeling their ‘Inner Mao’.

Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun. Mao Zedong

Nope. The rights of a free people include the right to protect oneself from violence or oppression.

Simply put — we’re keeping our guns.

We’ve all wondered for a long time, but it looks like medical science has finally determined the problem.

It’s spreading like a plague. For some reason, Liberals are losing their ever-loving minds.

Trump Derangement — and Romney Derangement before that — and Bush Derangement before that are only the tip of the iceberg.

What is driving them so berzerk?

Looks like we’ve found an answer:

A liberal walks into the hospital and asks for an X-ray of its skull. Doctors confirmed what we already feared. Here’s the sad diagnosis…

That’s the ladies’ version. You can get it here.

Don’t worry. There’s one for the guys, too.

You can get the guy’s version here.

And the best part? This shirt is made in the USA, printed in the USA, on an American-Made t-shirt press!
