Should we have expected anything different out of the party that stood behind Bill Clinton, and tried to dump Juanita Broderick’s name down the memory hole?
For a party that ‘cares’ so deeply about women, why are they so blind or silent when their side abuses women?
Maybe we should question their judgment on OTHER issues, too… like political positions they’ve advanced, and whether all conservatives are ‘evil’.
They made a big deal of it whenever big names connected with Republicans were even accused of sexual impropriety. But somehow, they didn’t feel so strongly even when things were KNOWN about liberals.
Remember that infamous reporter that said she would gladly offer William Jefferson Clinton the same… ‘services’ that were once associated with ‘that’ blue dress.
Remember the ‘conspiracy of silence’ that surrounded John Edwards’ infidelity?
Even Roman Polansky is given a pass by Hollywood after raping a girl who was barely more than a child. So — let it be known, creepy sexual deviancy is perfectly fine, so long as your politics toe the line.
After all, Anthony Weiner was given a second chance and was in Hillary Clinton’s inner circle.
By contrast, even the (unproven) allegations of impropriety were enough to chase Herman Cain from the Republican Primaries.
In the same way, Democrat Big-wig and money-man Weinstein has been publicly outed as a really creepy old man. He denies nothing… but has done offered the standard ‘I’m a Democrat who has been caught’ mea culpa. (He’s taking ‘counseling’.)
What he has actually ADMITTED to doing is far worse than the ‘locker room talk’ they are trying to discredit Trump with.
The Times outed Weinstein as having settled with EIGHT accusers.
And Even Ashley Judd — who didn’t mind blasting Trump without evidence — was PERSONALLY affected by Weinsteins ‘indiscretions’. He met Judd wearing only a bathrobe and asked if she wanted to watch him shower.
Women have been talking about Harvey amongst ourselves for a long time, and it’s simply beyond time to have the conversation publicly,” [Judd] told the Times. –Atlantic
But Republicans are the ‘real’ threat to women, right Ashley? Riiiiiigt.
Did anyone KNOW Weinstein was a misogynist pig? It sure seems like it, and not just with Judd’s statement, above:
I began to hear from lots of other people, now other reporters, who were working, often for years, to nail down the story of Harvey’s sexual abuses, and thought that I, as someone who’d been a firsthand witness to his verbal and physical ones, could help. —Rebecca Traister

And yet, Michelle Obama, who never seems to have ANYTHING to say with touching on people’s so-called motives, didn’t have anything bad to say about Weinstein — who, incidentally, showered the Democrats with cash.
… I want to start by thanking Harvey Weinstein for organizing this amazing day. (Applause.) Harvey. This is possible because of Harvey. He is a wonderful human being, a good friend and just a powerhouse. And the fact that he and his team took the time to make this happen for all of you should say something not about me or about this place, but about you. Everybody — we are here because of you. –Michelle Obama, ObamaWhiteHouseArchives
Michelle is the same woman who later went on to say…
Stumping for Clinton a few days later, then-First Lady Michelle Obama gave an impassioned speech about why America should no longer tolerate men — especially men in power — assuming they have the right to talk about women in demeaning ways or to abuse their bodies and demand their sexual attention.
“This is not something that we can ignore,” Obama said, before digging into a deep well of outrage to say: “It is cruel. It’s frightening. And the truth is, it hurts. It hurts.” —
Not something we can ignore — unless he pays his pennance by dropping a lot of green into the Democrat campaign slush funds, right Michelle?
Hillary who apperared in THIS photo with Weinstein, was one of a long list of Democrats whose campaign coffers were filled — directly and indirectly — with Weinstein’s help.
Over her career as a candidate for both the U.S. Senate and the presidency, Hillary Clinton received $17,400 from Weinstein. Schumer, who like Clinton hails from Weinstein’s home state of New York, received $16,200. Spokespeople for both Clinton and Schumer did not immediately respond to requests for comment about the allegations against Weinstein.–Atlantic
There were plenty.
The Atlantic put forward a list of names and figures too long to recount here, that are a veritable who-who of the Democrats. Hillary, Obmama, Schumer, Warren, Franken, Boxer, Dodd, Durbin, Rahm Emanuel and many others.
Yet these numbers on their own do not tell the full story of Weinstein’s impact on the Democratic Party. While federal laws cap individual donations, a powerful figure with a large rolodex like Weinstein’s has the power to bring more money in by organizing star-studded fundraisers. —Atlantic
So why didn’t anyone stop him earlier?
For reasons eerily similar to Hillary’s ‘Bimbo Eruption’ defense of Bill. In a reporter’s own words:
But another reason that I never considered trying to report the story myself, even, truly, in the years after I did start writing about gender and power as my beat, was because it felt impossible. Sisyphean. I remembered what it was like to have the full force of Harvey Weinstein — back then a mountainous man — screaming vulgarities at me, his spit hitting my face. I had watched him haul my friend into the street and try to hurt him. That kind of force, that kind of power? I could not have won against that.
And indeed, no one could, for a really, really long time. The best reporters out there tried, for years, perhaps most memorably David Carr, for this magazine. But Weinstein didn’t just exert physical power. He also employed legal and professional and economic power. He supposedly had every employee sign elaborate, binding nondisclosure agreements. He gave jobs to people who might otherwise work to bring him down, and gave gobs of money to other powerful people, who knows how much, but perhaps just enough to keep them from listening to ugly rumors that might circulate among young people, among less powerful people. For decades, the reporters who tried to tell the story of Harvey Weinstein butted up against the same wall of sheer force and immovable power that was leveraged against those ambitious actors, the vulnerable assistants, the executives whose careers, salaries, and reputations were in his hands. –
Where’s that ‘moral high road’ now?
This puts a very different spin on Democrat rabid defense of Planned Parenthood, doesn’t it?
Does your grandpa go off on paltry politicians, whether they be Democrats or Republicans? Does he get misty eyed when he talks about God and Country and America’s future? And have you ever heard him scream, ‘Awww … Hell no!’ when Rosie O’Donnell starts yapping on television? If you answered yes to one, or all of the above, then your gramps will love Doug Giles’ latest book, My Grandpa’s A Patriotic Badass.
Don’t be fooled by the title — this ain’t just for Grandpa.
The Snowflake Generation — and the rest of America — needs a good ol’ dose of ‘Grandpa wisdom’.
Especially if that Grandpa is Doug Giles.
You’ll love My Grandpa’s A Patriotic Badass just as much as Grandpa will.
