If the other leagues aren’t careful, trends like this might help hockey overtake the ‘real’ American sports.
While the NFL (and now, even the NBA) are hell-bent on giving American fans the middle finger over the whole ‘take a knee’ protest, the National Hockey League is going the other direction.
There is this little thing called ‘patriotism’. And for hockey fans, it’s as natural as the air we breathe.
Why? Who knows. Maybe it’s because there’s still a place in hockey for the occasional fist-fight, and the PC police haven’t been able to give it that metrosexual extreme makeover.
Maybe it’s because the International nature of the sport fosters deep respect for Each Country’s own National Institutions.
Maybe it’s just the kind of people attracted to the game. Whatever the reason, the results are amazing. Check out this clip, and — better yet — share it with someone who’s fed up with the NFL’s Anti-American rhetoric.
Unlike the singer at the NBA game who took a knee… there’s a developing trend at NHL games where the entire stadium joins in for the anthem.
Check out what they did in New Jersey:
That’s just awesome.
And ClashDaily’s own Doug Giles has a message for the NFL that they might want to take to heart, while there’s still time.

NFL’s TV ratings are plummeting as more players refuse to stand for the national anthem. It’s hard to believe that a nation that has given these players the opportunity to achieve so much is so easily disrespected. Even worse, consider the men and women who have laid down their lives so that these athletes could live in a relatively safe country and enjoy their fame and fortune.
Hard-working, patriotic Americans don’t want to watch a bunch of whiners play football. They want to watch winners.
And the best part? This shirt is made in the USA, printed in the USA, on an American-Made t-shirt press!

Does your grandpa go off on paltry politicians, whether they be Democrats or Republicans? Does he get misty eyed when he talks about God and Country and America’s future? And have you ever heard him scream, ‘Awww … Hell no!’ when Rosie O’Donnell starts yapping on television? If you answered yes to one, or all of the above, then your gramps will love Doug Giles’ latest book, My Grandpa Is A Patriotic Badass.
Don’t be fooled by the title — this ain’t just for Grandpa.
The Snowflake Generation — and the rest of America — needs a good ol’ dose of ‘Grandpa wisdom’.
Especially if that Grandpa is Doug Giles.
You’ll love My Grandpa Is A Patriotic Badass just as much as Grandpa will.
