Conservative Cutie Got Fired For Just Having A Concealed Carry Permit – Not Even A Gun

She’s not backing down on this bullying, either. Check it out…

Storm Durham, a recent college graduate that was working at Roanoke City Social Services as a social worker, alleges that she was fired from her job for holding a concealed carry permit — not the gun, the permit to carry the gun.

Durham fired off a couple of social media posts that caught on and have spread far and wide.

Here is the tweet that started it all:

In her Facebook post that gives the account of the incident, Durham claims that she had not taken her gun to work.

I was fired today. I was fired by a Department of Virginia… Social Services the people who are supposed to be there to keep kids safe and develop families into better people for each other. I was fired today due to having a concealed carry permit. Was my gun on me? No. Has it ever been on me during my job, or visits, or anything related to work? No. When I told them that it has never been on me during work, what did they say? “How do we know that.” Search me.

Do I have a criminal record? No. Do I, (yes the 22 year old blonde who is 5’2 and about 140 pounds who loves everything Disney, pink, and basic), come across as a threat to you? If you know me I’m pretty sure you’ve never been shaking in your boots due to my vary presence.

She continues to describe the Police escort to pack up her personal belongings from her office because she was a ‘serious safety concern to the building’ — again, she didn’t have her gun with her.

But today, I was escorted by not one, not two, but three Roanoke City Police Officers to my office where I packed up months of thank you cards, and pictures of kids I’ve helped. I was escorted by officers who have been with me on visits where I placed a child with a relative due to risks, or when I was hugged by a child because they finally felt safe again. I was told to pack immediately and that I could not even use the bathroom to take a minute for myself because of my “serious safety concerns to the building.”

For folks that don’t know how to shoot, those gun-grabbers are pretty damned good at targeting law-abiding gun owners!

I have a concealed carry permit. I own guns. I hunt. I target shoot. I represent Women hunters and outdoorswomen. Does that make me a criminal? Does that make me a safety risk to others? A big enough safety risk to be escorted by three Roanoke City Police officers? So scary and threatening that I need to be treated like a criminal? To be humiliated and looked down upon for owning a gun? For legally having a gun, registering that gun, and having the appropriate documentation for that gun?

The Constitution of the United States of America. The one document that has followed us for years, and will continue to be the power resource of all we do as Americans. The second amendment: the right to bear arms. The Roanoke City Department of Social Services should be ashamed of themselves.

She then calls out the Roanoke City Department of Social Services for their clearly politically-motivated termination of her employment.

They should be publically known that they did this. That they fired a innocent, clean record, white, female, college graduate who works for a living for legally having, and owning a gun. That was NEVER on their property or in their building. A gun that was never used for evil, but as protection as I am a survivor or sexual assault. Protection for being that white, 22 year old, female. I am an American. A gun owner. And a proud sponsor of hunting across America, and I, nor my lawyers, judges, or support systems will rest until something is done. Until someone answers for punishing me and taking away my constitutional right.

Durham claims that she was a victim of sexual assault and that she has her concealed-carry permit to protect herself.

The posts have gone viral in the last few days and Durham has made some media appearances to tell her story.

She also posted a Facebook Live video thanking people for their support:

Wow.

Durham says that she’s not going to work for those nutty liberals anymore and that she’s contacted a lawyer and the NRA.

Good for you, Storm! Go after those anti-Constitutional rights a-holes! Give ’em hell!

This shirt is sure to liven up the party. It doesn’t have just ONE controversial statement, but TWO. With Jesus in the mix, it could nearly start a riot.

Which, if you’ve read the book, was pretty much what would happen when Jesus swept into town, anyway. But which part of the shirt will get people more heated?

Jesus kicking ass? Some people actually have a problem with that?

Set aside the fact that he’s returning as a conquering king:

Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron.

Even in his time here, he was hardly the hippie-dippie gentle Jesus that pacifists would paint him as. He told his followers to ‘buy a sword’.

He swaggered into the temple like he owned the place. Because He does.

He saw the contempt the merchants and swindlers had for the real significance of the house — and he started braiding a whip.

A WHIP! Then he started, literally, cleaning house.

And before the Fundamentalists get too pleased with themselves… do you know what his very FIRST miracle was?

Turning water into wine.

No, dear. Not ‘grape juice’. Are you kidding? What self-respecting wedding host would have fallen for Welches?. The steward of the feast called it ‘the good stuff’. As in the quality vintage.

Why? Because a wedding is to be celebrated, with wine.

Just how much did Jesus ‘approve’ or ‘disapprove’ of wine?

Let’s flip the question back on the teetotalers: do the words ‘drink this in remembrance of me’ ring any bells?

Now that we’ve answered THAT question… Cheers!
