Hint… it’s the same paper so famously proven wrong on Soviet Socialism the first time.
It’s the beginning of May. Of course all of Marx’s fans would come out to play.
The same paper that didn’t seem to mind the removal of offensive statues associated with the Confederacy didn’t have the same view of its own past personages. In particular, Walter Duranty’s Pulitzer.
Regarding Arthur Sulzberger Jr.’s suggestion to the Pulitzer Prize Board that revoking Walter Duranty’s 1932 prize recalled the ”Stalinist practice to airbrush purged figures out of official records and histories” (”Times Should Lose Pulitzer From 30’s, Consultant Says,” news article, Oct. 29):
Those targeted for ”airbrushing” were already murdered, languishing in the gulag or forced into exile after having been falsely accused of espionage, treason, sabotage and other ”crimes.”
So rather than hide them in history, let’s trumpet them. Walter Duranty — NYT’s Moscow Correspondent — wrote a headline for which he won a Pulitzer.
“Russians Hungry, But Not Starving” among other things in his column, he said:
In the middle of the diplomatic duel between Great Britain and the Soviet Union over the accused British engineers, there appears from a British source a big scare story in the American press about famine in the Soviet Union, with “thousands already dead and millions menaced by death from starvation”. — from his bio onWiki
Just a ‘scare story’ huh? That’s worthy of a Pulitzer? History remembers the Soviet famine of 1932-33 somewhat differently, to say the least.
They had to invent a new word to describe a whole new kind of large-scale human atrocity. “Holodomor” or “Terror-Famine”. (Or, if you prefer ‘Famine-Genocide in Ukraine’)
The Soviet famine of 1932–33 was a major famine that killed millions of people in the major grain-producing areas of the Soviet Union, including Ukraine, Northern Caucasus, Volga Region and Kazakhstan, the South Urals, and West Siberia. The Holodomor in Ukraine and Kazakh famine of 1932–1933 have been characterized as genocide by Joseph Stalin’s government, however not all historians agree with this characterization; up to 3 million people died in Ukraine and 600,000 (15% of all Kazakhs) died in Kazakhstan
The NYTimes had LITERALLY gotten awards for fake news long before Trump was even born.
Leftists just LOVE their socialism. And they just can’t bear to admit that it might be wrong.
New York Times is again calling Marx wonderful.

No wait, that was the article from LAST year.
Here is one from this year:
The NYT wishes Karl Marx a happy birthday.
The communist ideology he so loved has sent nations into peril and left more than 100 million dead.
Let that sink in, America. pic.twitter.com/dSLGTIkxLI

He was ‘right’.
His ideas literally killed more people than Hitler, but ‘yay Socialism’!
How wrong are they? Here’s a little ‘compare and contrast’ to put it in perspective.
Bernie Sanders… you remember him, right? He was that octogenarian that would have won the Democratic Primary if Clinton hadn’t already rigged it by taking hold of the DNC’s finances while still a candidate.
Sanders is openly a Socialist, and had this to say about Venezuela on his official government account just a few short years ago.
These days, the American dream is more apt to be realized in South America, in places such as Ecuador, Venezuela and Argentina, where incomes are actually more equal today than they are in the land of Horatio Alger. Who’s the banana republic now?
— Sen Bernie Sanders, “Close The Gaps: Disparities That Threaten America” official government senate page 2011
Well, Bernie, how did that work out?
For one thing, they don’t have an obesity problem there, like America does, that’s for sure.
But then, Walter Durant would have just called them ‘hungry’ in Venezuela, wouldn’t he?
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Rules For Radical Christians is not a survival devotional designed to help the young Christian adult limp through life. Rather, it is a road-tested, dominion blueprint that will equip the young adult with leadership skills and sufficient motivation to rise to a place of influence in an overtly non-Christian culture. Rules For Radical Christians gives the reader the keys to become strategically equipped to move into an anti-theistic environment and effectively influence it for the glory of God.
We’ve all wondered for a long time, but it looks like medical science has finally determined the problem.
It’s spreading like a plague. For some reason, Liberals are losing their ever-loving minds.
Trump Derangement — and Romney Derangement before that — and Bush Derangement before that are only the tip of the iceberg.
What is driving them so berzerk?
Looks like we’ve found an answer:
A liberal walks into the hospital and asks for an X-ray of its skull. Doctors confirmed what we already feared. Here’s the sad diagnosis…

Don’t worry. There’s one for the guys, too.
