Pope Francis Uses Prayers for Glasgow Environment Modification Conference

ROME– Pope Francis used prayers Sunday for the success of the police26 U.N. Environment Modification Conference starting in Glasgow, Scotland.

” Today, in Glasgow, in Scotland, the United Nations conference on environment modification, POLICE26, starts,” the pope specified after his weekly Angelus prayer in Saint Peter’s Square.

” Let us hope so that the cry of the Earth and the cry of the bad may be heard,” he continued, and “that this conference may offer effective reactions, providing concrete wish to future generations.”

Vatican News revealed Sunday that “over 30,000 activists, politicians, reporters, and others are collecting in the Scottish city to begin efforts to fight environment modification and limitation international warming.”

In Sunday’s address, the pontiff went on to reveal the inauguration of a photographic exhibit in St Peter’s Square, entitled “Feelings to produce modification– pressing the concern of take care of production at police26 in Glasgow,” devoted to the pope’s encyclical letter in the environment Laudato si’

The work was the collaboration of Lia Beltrami, author and director, and the young Muslim professional photographer Asaf Ud Daula, initially from Bangladesh.

The exhibit was revealed Sunday and will be open to visitors to Saint Peter’s Square through November 8.
